Coming in the Summer of 2008 is the very first Saab 9-3 Aero XWD.  The XWD is a fully-automatic, intelligent all-wheel drive system.  The XWD system is capable of transferring up to 100% of the engine's torque from front to rear.  This fantastic all-wheel drive system is combined with the 280-horsepower 2.8L V6 Turbo engine to give the driver great performance and handling in many different driving conditions.

• The A4 comes standard with cloth interior and the 9-3 comes standard with leather.
• The 9-3's 2.8L V6 Turbo puts out 25 more horsepower and 52 Ib-ft of torque than the A4's 3.2L V6.
• The 9-3 comes standard with Xenon headlights and on the A4 they come optional in a package.
• The 9-3 comes standard with the Bose Centerpoint Surround Sound System with a 3 month trial of XM Satellite Radio and the A4 Sirius Satellite and Bose are an option.
• Rain sensing wipers are optional on the A4 and standard on the 9-3.
• The 9-3 has 15 cubic feet of cargo and A4 has only 13.4.
• The 9-3 Aero has a standard sport-tuned chasis and with the A4 it is optional.
• All 9-3 models feature safety and convenience benefits of OnStar with one year of Safe and Sound Service.
• Saab's pre-paid maintenance program is 3 year / 36,000 miles and Audi only covers the first regular mainenance.
• Saab's powertrain warranty is 5 year / 100,000 mile and Audi's is 4 year / 50,000 miles.

Vs. BMW 335xi

• The 2008 9-3 was chosen by Insurance Institute for Highway Safety as "Top Safety Pick" and BMW was not.
• The 335xi's standard interior is a "leatherette" upholstery or artificial leather and the 9-3's is leather appointed seating.
• The 9-3's come standard with rear folding down seats and on the 335xi it is not standard.
• The 9-3 has a standard XM Satellite radio ready and the 335xi is an option.
• The 9-3 has OnStar is standard with a one year trial.
• Saab's powertrain warranty is again 5 year / 100,000 miles and BMW's is 4 year / 50,000 miles.
